Livingston Leandy Incorporated (LLI) was born of the merger between two of Durban’s oldest legal firms, Livingston Doull & Winterton and Leandy & Partners.

Since the merger in 1989, LLI has built on the solid foundation provided by these two respected firms, establishing itself as one of the larger and best known legal practices in Kwazulu-Natal. Today, LLI operates from two offices, one of which is situated in the Durban Central Business District and the other at La Lucia Ridge, in the northern suburbs. This enables us to provide a “user-friendly”, convenient service to our clients.

The firm provides legal services in the areas of litigation (including High Court, Magistrates’ Court, Regional Court RAF and Personal Injury Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Liquidation and Sequestration, Maritime, Labour, Constitutional matters, Collections and Matrimonial law), property law, (including conveyancing, mortgage bonds, notarial work, township planning, sectional titles and shareblock developments), corporate and commercial work, including contracts and general drafting, tax advice, competition law, company law and opinion work, and finally trusts and deceased estates (including estate planning, winding up of estates and administration of trusts).

In accordance with our vision of creating a culture that embodies the ideals of South African democracy, our approach to Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) extends beyond the mere lip-service to the letter of the law. We have achieved a Level 2 BBBEE rating.
