Lamprecht Attorneys
Lamprecht Attorneys was founded in 2005 to meet a growing need for strong litigation representation in the Vaal Triangle. The firm opened its own offices in Vanderbijlpark in 2007 and expanded to the Garden Route with a second office in Mossel Bay in 2021.
The firm is led by founding attorney Johan Christiaan Lamprecht (B-Iuris, LLB), whose legal career began in 1988 with the Department of Justice, where he was appointed as a prosecutor the following year. That grounding gave him decades of hands-on experience across the South African legal system before he went into private practice and founded Lamprecht Attorneys, experience that continues to inform how the firm approaches litigation and dispute resolution today.
Lamprecht Attorneys practises across a focused range of areas, with particular strength in commercial and private litigation, business and commercial law, and debt recovery and collections. The firm's business and commercial law offering covers contract drafting and review, commercial disputes, and day-to-day legal support for businesses and suppliers operating in the Vaal Triangle and beyond. In debt recovery matters, the firm acts exclusively for creditors, businesses, suppliers, financial institutions, and individual creditors, and does not represent debtors. Other core practice areas include family law (divorce, maintenance, protection orders, and child custody), evictions and arrear rental matters, criminal law, labour law, sequestrations, and correspondent attorney services for other firms across South Africa.
The firm is an approved panel attorney firm for Scorpion. Its client base spans Vanderbijlpark, Vereeniging, Sasolburg, and the wider Gauteng region, with debt recovery, business and commercial law, and correspondent attorney work extending nationally, alongside its growing presence in Mossel Bay and the Garden Route. Lamprecht Attorneys operates on the principle of "let us do the worrying for you," giving clients direct, practical guidance through what are often stressful legal processes.
